CHAPS logo artworkCHAPS is the Association of  Catholic Primary Head Teachers in Scotland. Through this network, members offer support to each other in their role as leaders of communities of faith and learning.  While formal opportunities to provide support are offered in the annual CHAPS conference, more informal support and encouragement is provided by colleagues at the local level.  In some Dioceses local associations have been formed to organise local events.

The national Executive Committee is constituted to include representatives from the 8 Dioceses in Scotland.  It meets 5 times per year.  At a national level the CHAPS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE works in close collaboration with the Scottish Catholic Education Service.  It also meets with colleagues from CHAS, the association of Catholic Secondary Head Teachers.
