Caritas – Revised Arrangements for Assessment, Verification and Submission 2020-2021

See below the text of the email sent 19th January 2021, with all attachments.

Given the difficult and uncertain circumstances in which we find ourselves, and the huge demands these bring to our schools, we felt it important to establish some clarity around the arrangements regarding assessment, verification and submission for this session’s Caritas Award. To this end I am attaching an updated advice note which I hope lays out the protocols we have put in place to ensure that the work and efforts of the candidates can be fully recognised and that the processes can be as straightforward as possible for schools.

You will find attached to this message the updated advice, along with a blank submission form and a copy of the individual candidate assessment sheet.

We are also acutely aware of the impact of the restrictions on the candidates themselves, who have found their whole educational and social landscape changed immeasurably from what they imagined for their final year in school. With this in mind, we are also attaching a letter intended for each candidate to show our appreciation for their efforts. It also includes  the new timeline, advice and a checklist to help them in the completion and collation of their evidence. We hope that  they will find this useful, and would be most grateful if you could forward it to your cohort.

As ever, if there is anything you would like to ask or discuss about this new advice, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time, on readviser@sces.uk.com
