Kathleen Maguire, from St Michael’s Primary School, report:

In our cluster every year the we celebrate Catholic Education Week with a special Mass held usually on the Thursday evening. The 3 parishes – Holy Family,St. John’s and St Francis Port Glasgow – host this on a rotational basis. There is always a chance for everyone to socialise afterwars in the parish hall over tea, coffee and a light buffet.  This  year the Mass was celebrated in Holy Family Parish.

The secondary school (St Stephen’s) co-ordinates a leaflet highlighting the unique features of our Catholic schools. The associated Primaries -St. Michael’s, St Francis’ and St. John’s – all submit material for this leaflet.

The students and parents of each of the schools participate in the liturgy . The Mass is always very well attended by families and parishioners as well as staff from each of the schools.  Invitations are sent to local Education officials and local Councillors who are always represented.
