The Relic Pilgrimage of Don Bosco to Great Britain visited Scotland on Friday 4th January (St Andrew’s Cathedral, Glasgow) and on Saturday 5th January (St Francis Xavier, Carfin). The visit was part of a world-wide pilgrimage building up to the 200th anniversary of Don Bosco’s birth in 2015. Don Bosco is the patron saint of young people and of teachers. The Pilgrimage began on January 31st 2009 and, as this event moves around the world, it is raising awareness of Don Bosco’s spirituality and the importance of young people in the Church.
A number of very interesting learning resources are available from the website.
