Early Level Equality & Inclusion Learning and Teaching

  • Posted on 31/08/2018
  • By: Barbara Coupar

This learning plan is intended to form part of a holistic learning journey for pupils which focuses on addressing discrimination and prejudiced based bullying. The learning starts in Early Level and continues through to Senior Phase

In Early Level The themes of this learning journey are:

  • Relationships
  • Being Kind
  • My family and Friends
  • People who care for me

This theme complements the learning and teaching outlined in ‘God’s Loving Plan’ and should be used in conjunction with the activities and resources for: P1 God Gives Me Life, God Delights in Me, God Calls Me To Love

All of these materials note that within a Catholic school the starting point for any work with young people in the area of Equality, Inclusion and Justice is rooted in the Church's vision of what it means to be in relationship with God and others.  The materials hosted on this page  should be used in conjunction with the existing RE Guidance 'This Is Our Faith' and current RSHP/HWB/RERC resources for Relationships and Moral Education – Called to Love (Secondary schools) and God’s Loving Plan (Primary schools)
