This learning plan is intended to form part of a holistic learning journey for pupils which focuses on addressing discrimination and prejudiced based bullying. The learning starts in Early Level and continues through to Senior Phase
In this Senior Phase unit pupils are learning:
- about Catholic Social Teaching.
- about the four main principals of Catholic Social Teaching.
- to reflect on how the principles of Catholic Social Teaching can be applied to the Protected Characteristics in the Equalities Act
This theme complements the learning and teaching outlined in ‘Called To Love’ and should be used in conjunction with the activities and resources for S4-6
All of these materials note that within a Catholic school the starting point for any work with young people in the area of Equality, Inclusion and Justice is rooted in the Church's vision of what it means to be in relationship with God and others. The materials hosted on this page should be used in conjunction with the existing RE Guidance 'This Is Our Faith' and current RSHP/HWB/RERC resources for Relationships and Moral Education – Called to Love (Secondary schools) and God’s Loving Plan (Primary schools)
