A new music project, coming to the Edinburgh Festival, explores the life and influence of Mary – Queen of Scots.

What will you conclude about Mary? was she:

Catholic martyr? Murdering adulteress? Asylum -seeker? Icon for our times?

The project takes you back to the 16th Century and explores Mary’s inspirational dignity, courage, integrity and compassion.

It can be used as a starting point for Interdisciplinary learning, that connects themes within RE, Music, History , Modern Studies, Modern Languages and Technology seeking to answer if Mary’s story is just as relevant in the current political climate as it was in her own time.

Pupils are invited to a special post-concert Q and A session on Wed 23rd August 2017

Project details can be found at- http://maryqueenofscotsconcert.co.uk
