Before school session 2016-17 commences, a further 136 teachers will embark on the ‘Setting Out on the Road’ course which will equip them to understand the purpose and nature of Religious Education in Catholic schools.  Just one year on since its introduction, this course has already  been completed by 43 teachers, with another 39 due to complete by December 2016.  On 8th & 9th August, 98 teachers will gather in Glasgow to commence the first two days of the course, immediately followed by another 38 who will gather in Edinburgh on 11th & 12th August.  Both groups will meet subsequently on 2 more Saturdays and will complete a range of directed assignments which will be assessed throughout the year.
