Assessment 2015

Primary 7 pupils participating in the phase 1 pilot of the Pope Francis Faith Award have been busy collecting evidence of their learning, their reflection and their action within their Faith Journals. Teachers and parish priests are now reviewing this evidence to assess how individual pupils have met the success criteria for gaining the award and for the Parish Commendation.

Following a recent Verification Meeting held in the SCES offices, teachers returned to school to put the finishing touches to their assessment of evidence during the month of May.

Key dates:

By 29th May phase 1 schools will send their final Assessment Reuslts sheet to SCES, together with copies of their Assessment Verification Sheet and of all completed Parish Commendation Sheets.

By 8th June SCES will confirm all results and send certificates and badges to schools for presenting to pupils.

Enrolment for next session

SCES will soon provide details on this website of how schools can express an interest in enrolling pupils for the Pope Francis Award next session – ie pupils who will commence P6 in August 2015 and complete the award by June 2017.
