On 25 November 2014 His Holiness Pope Francis visited the European Parliament and he addressed the Members during a formal session. The Pope was invited by the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, during his official visit to the Vatican on 11 October 2013. His Holiness also gave a speech at the Council of Europe.
