Primary Head Teacher Vacancies – East Ayshire

The following Primary Head Teacher vacancies are being advertised by East Ayrshire Council:

St Sophia’s Primary School, Galston

St Sophia’s Primary School, a denominational school, is part of St Joseph’s Learning Community and serves the villages of Galston, Newmilns, Darvel and the outlying areas of Fenwick, Waterside and Moscow.  With a current role of 63 pupils the ethos puts childrens’ learning and long-term development above all else.  There is a culture of collaborative working with staff and an active and supportive Parent Council.

The successful candidate for this post will be committed to high standards, curriculum development and working as part of a small team within the school and the Learning Community.  Applicants for this post must have RC approval.

Mount Carmel Primary School, Kilmarnock

Mount Carmel Primary, a denominational school, is part of St Joseph’s Learning Community.  Situated in the North West of Kilmarnock it caters for children residing in the surrounding area, together with the villages of Kilmaurs, Knockentiber, Stewarton, Crosshouse, Dunlop and Fenwick.

The ethos within Mount Carmel prioritises children’s learning and development and promotes collaborative working within staff and our active, supportive parent body.  The school role is presently 209 and there is a nine class structure.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and experienced leader with a commitment to working in partnership with parents and the wider school community.  Applicants for this post must have RC approval.
