This unit focuses on the Church as the instrument of Revelation and the locus for our response. The life of faith is presented in this unit as involving four aspects, represented by the four ‘pillars’ of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and originating in the life of the early Church (Acts 2): belief, celebration, the moral life and prayer.
The unit will unfold in three parts:
- the relational nature of God as Trinity and of man, made in His image and likeness;
- the invitation to relationship with God which involves His self-revelation and our response to it;
- the Church as the instrument of our communion with God.
