St David’s Primary, Celebrate 80th Anniversary.
Primary 7 pupils Kuba, Robbie and Amy wanted to share with everyone how they along with their fellow classmates marked this special anniversary.
St David’s first opened on the 1st September in 1937. 80 years have passed and now we celebrate our anniversary. Two days before the anniversary, our school had an open day in which people from the community could come in and see inside of our school. The tours were led by Primary 7 pupils.
The people enjoyed their visit and we enjoyed showing them around. The following day, St David’s had a glorious picnic in the afternoon. Parents were invited to the celebration. At the picnic there was also some stalls fundraising for the Primary 7 camp which will be later on in the final term.
On the date of the anniversary we held a school mass, led by the pupils of Primary 7. Previous head teachers, Fr Peter, Fr George, the Sisters of Mercy, and also head teachers from other schools in Edinburgh attended. We would like to thank everyone for coming to the 80th celebration, we definitely had an amazing time.
