Most Rev. Phillip Tartgalia is the Archbishop of Glasgow and President of the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland. He was educated in St Thomas’ Primary School, Riddrie, St. Mungo’s Academy, Glasgow, St. Vincent’s College, Langbank and St. Mary’s College, Blairs, Aberdeen. His ecclesiastical studies were completed at the Pontifical Scots College, and the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Ordained to the priesthood in 1975, he was ordained Bishop of Paisley on 20th November 2005 and consecrated as Archbishop of Glasgow on 8th September 2012.
