Very Rev. Hugh Bradley grew up in Croy and attended Holy Cross Primary School and Our Lady’s High School in Cumbernauld. He obtained a B.A. degree at Strathclyde University before going on to study at the Pontifical Scots College, Rome. For six years he worked in the Vatican as an official of the Congregation for Catholic Education. Thereafter he became a parish priest and school chaplain in Bishopbriggs and also acted as the representative of the Archbishop of Glasgow on the education committees of East Dunbartonshire Council and Glasgow City Council. Mgr Bradley is now the General Secretary to the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland.
