Learning and Teaching Scotland (LTS) is the national body responsible for reviewing the curriculum, developing assessment to support learning and providing advice to the education system on the use of ICT to support learning and teaching for lifelong learning. We provide advice to Scottish Ministers on all matters related to learning and teaching, the curriculum, assessment and ICT. LTS takes forward policy implementation and practice development of Community Learning and Development across Scotland.

LTS is seeking to appoint a Development Officer, RERC. The RERC Development Officer role will engage in the review and development of work on the RERC curriculum, as specified in LTS’s strategic and annual plans.
The successful candidate should be qualified to degree level and have a qualification in Catholic Religious Education. Have a strong understanding of emerging developments in CfE with a particular emphasis on the experiences and outcomes and associated ‘support for staff’.
The post will be offered as a secondment until the end of June 2011 and will be based at our Glasgow Office.
