SCIAF and the Catholic Church across Scotland have been so proud of how schools have responded to the WEE BOX appeal throughout lockdown. You have truly stood in solidarity with our brothers and sisters living in poverty.

These times have not been easy – especially when some pupils didn’t even return to school until after Easter. Despite not being together in person, you’ve taken part in impressive virtual walks and online fundraising. This has been the best year yet for JustGiving support!

St Dominic’s Primary in Crieff took on the Virtual Kiltwalk as a whole school.

St Bernadette’s Primary in Larbert did a ‘Voyage to the Vatican’.

Staff at St Andrew’s Primary in Kilmarnock had a raffle and raised £350 for children with disabilities in South Sudan.

St Francis Xavier’s primary in Falkirk continued their weekly fundraising activities including #StepitUpforSCIAF throughout Lent and beyond.

St John Paul II Primary in Uddingston raised £1100 in one day.

Countless WEE BOXES were handed in to St Bridget’s primary in Kilbirnie.

Our Lady’s High in Cumbernauld raised over £2500 walking the distance to South Sudan.

St Maurice’s High in Cumbernauld also did sponsored walks and held bucket collections.

Mr Harrison and a number of pupils St Matthew’s Academy took on the challenge of completing 100 km in one month.

Senior pupils at St Joseph’s Academy created a fantastic video to raise awareness of ‘passing on’ the WEE BOX.

St Andrew’s and St Bride’s High in EK raised over £11,000 by collectively walking/running over 6500km.

We’ve been blown away with all the fantastic work! This is just a flavour of what schools across Scotland are doing to put ‘loving your neighbour’ into practice, and we know many more schools have fundraised for our appeal. We’re so grateful for everyone’s support; we couldn’t help communities living in poverty without you.
