As we prepare to mark the centenary of the 1918 Education (Scotland) Act there is an opportunity to reflect on our past, our present and what these mean for our future.

A series of lesson plans has been created to assist schools in their learning and preparation for 2018. These can be used in conjunction with the placemats of ideas and suggestions for whole school, cluster and local authority planning.

The teacher notes below guide staff as they unpack the local and national history of our Catholic schools.  Staff are encouraged to use and adapt the materials according to the needs of their own pupils.
