Growing Laudato Si' in Scotland
Friday 10th May 2024
We were blessed with a beautiful day of sunshine and owe deep gratitude to Sinclair Academy, West Lothian for hosting us, and their Chaplain Fr John Deighan for celebrating Holy Mass. Special thanks to our Guest Speakers Ben Wilson, Director of Public Engagement @ SCIAF, and Laura Young, 'Less Waste Laura', Award winning climate activist, environmental scientist, and ethical influencer. We are grateful to St Eunan's Primary in Clydebank; Claire Dunphy and Jan Williamson were accompanied by a group of their young people, and delivered a presentation on their Laudato Si' experience. Thanks to our stallholders on the day; Eileen McQuade attended from The Care of Creation Office of the Bishops' Conference, and was joined by Sandra Murray and Jim Reilly of the Parish of St Ninian's and St Cuthbert's, Hamilton. Melissa Gavan, Primary RE Adviser, also hosted a stall for the Archdiocese of St Andrew's and Edinburgh.
We are delighted to be able to share the work of the photographer/videographer on the day, James Cave, Senior Content Officer @ SCIAF.
