We were delighted to receive these lovely images from St David’s Primary in Johnstone.  Class teacher, Carine McCann shared the message below:

” I am writing to share some of the wonderful efforts undertaken by our school’s Mini Vinnies group during this season of Lent. The children have shown great enthusiasm and commitment in living out the Lenten message through both action and prayer.

As part of their Lenten initiatives, the group has been collecting food items to support our local foodbank, helping those in need within our community. In addition, they have been raising money for the charities Missio and SCIAF, demonstrating a strong sense of global solidarity and compassion.

The Mini Vinnies have also been actively promoting the spirit of Lent throughout the school. They have encouraged prayer and reflection among their peers and organised a whole-school “chain of Lenten promises,” where pupils have committed to personal acts of kindness, sacrifice, and faith.”
