Lentfest 2013

This year’s Lentfest programme runs in the Archdiocese of Glasgow  from 13 February until 31 March and is set against the context of the worldwide Year of Faith which began late last year.  Lentfest brings people together in a unique way and plays a significant role in building communities and fostering local talent.

A look through this year’s programme reveals something for everyone, from musicians of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland to the array of folk musicians and poets, from the country’s finest Gaelic musicians to emerging talents in the world of opera.

This year’s Lentfest also continues the tradition of touring community theatre around parishes with a new play called The Pilgrimage specially written for the Year of Faith, and for those who prefer their culture with a cutting social edge there will be the second Inner Light Film Festival in conjunction with the Parliamentary Office and SCIAF.  There are also interactive workshops and an exhibition in association with Faith in Community Scotland and Firecloud.
