The Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh seek to employ a person of experience and good character for the post of Religious Education Adviser.

The post is a part-time permanent appointment, 21 hours per week. The Primary R.E. Adviser provides support, advice and development opportunities for staff within Catholic schools to enhance the delivery and quality of Religious Education across the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh. The post holder is responsible for curriculum development of Religious Education in Catholic Schools (RERC), offering regular CPCL opportunities, developing materials to support sacramental preparation and the implementation of “This Is Our Faith” and “God’s Loving Plan”. The post holder also contributes to national and Diocesan developments in co-operation with the Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES).  The promotion of Catholic ethos and the strengthening of teaching standards is integral to the role.
