This new award is being introduced to encourage young people at the Primary 6 & 7 stages towards an active faith commitment in their everyday lives.  The FAITH AWARD will help young people to use the Gifts of the Holy Spirit by being active and “faith-full” participants in their parish communities, their schools and their family homes.

Schools and parishes have been invited to participate in a pilot scheme which will involve Primary 6 pupils from Lent 2014 through till June 2015 when the first Faith Awards will be presented.  Expressions of interest in the pilot scheme have to be returned to SCES by Friday 8th November 2013.

SCES is keen to include schools and parishes from every Diocese in this pilot scheme.  Will your school/parish be involved?

More details can be found in the latest SCES Newsletter.
