Cardinal Winning Education Lecture 2015

To mark Catholic Education Week 2015, the School of Education of the University of Glasgow has organised the Cardinal Winning Lecture on 14th February 2015. This year’s topic is ‘The Church in Contemporary Society’ and the guest speaker is Archbishop Rino Fisichella, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting New Evangelisation, a former rector of the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome and the author of many theological works, including The New Evangelisation: Responding to the Challenge of Indifference.   Archbishop Fisichella is well known to many in the Church through his writing and public lectures.  

The lecture will take place in the Sir Charles Wilson Lecture Theatre, 1 University Avenue, Glasgow.

The timetable is as follows:   

9.45                Arrival. Refreshments available. 

10.15              Introduction (Professor Anne Anderson, Vice Principal) 

10.30              Cardinal Winning Lecture (Archbishop Rino Fisichella) 

11.20              Questions from the floor 

11.45              Vote of Thanks (Rev. Dr. John Bollan)  

NB. Fr. Ross Campbell will celebrate Mass at 9 am in Turnbull Hall, the Catholic Chaplaincy of the University of Glasgow.
