Before being commissioned by Bishop Toal during the Annual Education Mass, new Head Teachers in Motherwell diocese are invited to attend this day long course which explores the distinct role of the Catholic Head teacher. Lunch is provided.
This session will explore the Sacrament of Reconciliation at an adult level as well as reviewing the core learning and lessons involved in preparing pupils for the reception of the Sacrament. Support and advice for classroom implementation and sacramental preparation will be offered and there will be an opportunity for dialogue with colleagues.
Annual Mass for those associated with Catholic schools within the Diocese of Motherwell.
An open session for Chairs of Parent Councils to join online and explore the self-evaluation tool used in RC schools, Developing in Faith. There will also be time given to address points made at the previous meeting and share good practice.
All Motherwell Diocesan primary head teachers are invited to attend the first ACPHT meeting of the new session. The meeting will follow 9.30am Mass in the parish.
This CLPL will allow staff to explore how the Catholic school, while remaining faithful to its mission, can seek to achieve the Eco Schools Award. It will include an input on the Church’s teaching about creation and stewardship and make explicit the links between this vision and the Award.
The choirs of the Motherwell Schools Singing Programme will lead an Advent Carol Service for those associated with diocesan schools.
