The Catholic Education Commission is developing ‘This Is Our Faith’, to guide teachers who will deliver religious education in Catholic schools.  In recent months we have received very helpful feedback from a number of colleagues in various schools on the drafts of section 4 (core learning) which have been developed for six Strands of Faith.

We are still very keen to encourage more colleagues to provide some comments on the most recent drafts of section 4.  This will allow us to proceed with the confidence of knowing that this advice will be welcomed as being helpful and supportive in their work. 

In addition to this feedback on aspecst of the learning and teaching associated with these strands of faith, the guidance is also being scrutinised for its doctrinal content to ensure that is faithful to Church teaching.  Ultimately, its use will be sanctioned by the Vatican.
