St Andrews' Falkirk PS supports Operation Christmas Child

The generous children in St. Andrews RC Primary School collected, sorted and wrapped 82 Christmas shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child appeal, supporting the Samaritan Purse charity this year. They also donated extra items to be added to other boxes; including toiletries, toys, stationery, warm hats and gloves, and a few sweet treats.

A real community spirit filled the school halls, and smiles shone out from the faces of the children carrying the boxes out and helping lift their gifts into the van. The cost of transport was covered by the children, staff and parents, as they also donated £160 to the charity. The gifts are to be taken across Europe, transported by dedicated volunteers, and will be received by children less fortunate than ourselves. We wish them a very Merry Christmas!
