The school
St Anthony’s RC Primary School is a denominational school with a nursery class. It serves the villages of Armadale, Blackridge and Westfield. The roll was 264, including 77 in the nursery, when the inspection was carried out in February 2011. Children’s attendance was in line with the national average in 2009/2010. At the time of inspection, the headteacher had just completed a two-year secondment. This required him to take responsibility for the management and leadership of another local denominational primary school as well as maintaining his post at St Anthony’s RC Primary School
